The past few months I have leveled up my skin care game. I was tired of dealing with cystic acne and the scars that came with it so I decided to take matters into my own hands. Countless hours were spent online doing research and figuring out what type of products would be best for my skin type and my current acne struggles. I was eager to find a solution and to feel confident in my skin once again, especially without makeup. And I wanted to do it without breaking the bank, so naturally I turned to Amazon. I found 8 different products that did the trick, and each one was under (or right around) $20!

1. Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil

The first product on my list is the Anua Pore Control Cleansing Oil. This product is very soothing and gentle on the skin, but also works wonders with clearing out any congested or blocked pores. A cleansing oil is a great first step in a skin care regime as it helps to create a clean base for the other products to work their magic on.

2. Versed Day Dissolve Cleansing Balm

Cleansing balms are a great product for removing makeup without being too harsh or stripping the skin. This one from Versed flawlessly melts off my makeup every time and leaves my skin feeling soft and radiant.

3. La Roche-Posay Thermal Spring Water Face Mist

Thermal spring water makes for an incredible face mist as it is packed with antioxidants that are great for the skin. Throw it in your bag and use it throughout the day if your skin is feeling a bit dry or you just need a quick freshen up.

4. Anua Heartleaf Soothing Toner

Perfect for all skin types, this toner helps combat redness and soothes irritated skin. It’s great for both oily skin and dry skin, helps remove any dirt or oil that your cleanser may have missed, and helps restore your skins natural pH to promote a healthy complexion.

5. Mixsoon Bifida Ferment Essence

When it comes to restore the health of your skin barrier, this product is incredible! If you are unfamiliar, facial essences help to hydrate the skin, improve it’s texture, and help to reduce signs of aging. They are key product in Korean skin care!

6. Mixsoon Soybean Milk Pads

These milk pads are essentially a sheet mask but in three separate sections. You put one section on each side of your face and your forehead to help with any irritation and help make your skin feel silky smooth.

7. Goodal Vita C Dark Spot Care Serum

This lightweight vitamin C serum has helped to brighten my hyperpigmentation and lessen the appearance of my acne scars, leaving my skin glowing.

8. Naturium Azelaic Acid Serum

Azelaic acid is great for reducing redness and help with inflammation caused by acne due to its anti-inflammatory properties. It also has anti-microbial effects that can fight the bacteria responsible for causing acne. This one from Naturium was a game changer for my cystic acne.

Final Thoughts

These 8 products are my go-to’s when it comes to my skin care journey. They have helped to make a massive improvement in my complexion and with my acne. I still get a small breakout here and there, but only occasionally do I get an acne cyst. Previously I would have at least 1 acne cyst at all times, as soon as one would heal and start to shrink away, another would pop up. But now I am happy to say that I have gone weeks on end without an acne cyst! And on the rare occasion that one does make an appearance, it is a fraction of the size as my previous cysts and it clears up within a day or two. So if you also struggle with acne, especially cystic acne, I highly recommend giving these a products a try. At $20 a piece, you don’t have much to lose!
